1322. News + What God is Doing

This post serves as a warning to us all not to get hung up over all that is happening in the world and in our country. I’m not saying we should ignore it. We must know what is happening if we are to understand the times in which we live. Yet, if we focus solely on what man is doing, we’ll fail to see what God is doing. It’s easy to get caught up in all the power plays, the underhanded backroom deals, the cheating, the payoffs, the intimidation, the silencing of the Christians and Conservatives, the war on democracy, the fear tactics, etc. All these have come upon us like a whirlwind, bringing sudden and massive chaos and confusion.

Yet, God, in His sovereignty, is using every bit of all this to accomplish His will. This is where we should be focusing. We are to walk by faith, not by sight, and if we base our lives solely on what we, we will take ourselves out of the game, rendering ourselves unable to fulfill God’s sovereign plan for us. We will have played right into the enemy’s hand. God has a more consequential agenda than we can imagine, and He wants us to get on board so He can use us to fulfill His will, not ours.

God Sees All

I am convinced that there was, indeed, election fraud. The issues with Dominion voting machines are very real, but do you really think it caught God by surprise? Do you really think it altered God’s sovereign plan one iota? Of course not. While fraud must be exposed and prosecuted, it must not consume us. It will never escape God’s notice. He knows every detail of the election as well as the plans of all our enemies.

Throughout the books of Kings and Chronicles, we find enemy after enemy coming after Judah or Israel. We also find that the enemies attacked because God had stirred them up (2 Chron. 21:16). Usually, the attacks were payback for the sins of God’s people, but sometimes God was laying a trap to protect His people (2 Chron. 20:22). In every case, He was acting righteously, and every time His people repented, He showed mercy. My point is that God is in everything that has come upon us, and He is pleading with us to seek His face more than His revenge against our enemies.

Are You Ready?

As I have said often, our world will never return to the way it was. We never thought we would live to see what Scripture clearly says would happen one day, but here we are. We will face challenges, but if our hearts and minds are on our Heavenly Father, we will also experience the most exciting time of our lives. I believe God will move in ways we have never seen before as He tests our faith and Christ purifies His Church. Are you ready?
