108. War in Middle-East Imminent

This edition looks at the growing threat of war in the Middle East and the failure of the worldwide multicultural experiment.

OUR ISRAELI CONNECTION

David Zauber reports
The European Jewish Congress (EJC) is calling on European governments and the European Union to launch a campaign against intolerance and anti-Semitism. The Congress reports anti-Semitism is on the rise in Europe, and some Jewish communities are in serious danger. For example, recently a government-funded Catholic school in Antwerp hosted a “Palestine Day”, which included an activity for children in which they were invited to throw replicas of Jewish and Israeli soldiers into two large tanks as part of an activity entitled “Throw the Jewish soldiers into the sea.”  Newly elected mayor of Malmo,  Sweden, Ilmar Reepalu explains the wave of anti-Semitsm is “an understandable consequence of the Israel-Palestine conflict.”

Jerusalem Prayer Team reports
This week Israel”s Prime Minister, my dear old friend Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed a shocking new threat to Israel”s safety and survival. The Hamas terrorists in Gaza have now gained access

to advanced anti-aircraft missiles provided by Iran and smuggled into Gaza through tunnels from Egypt. This poses a grave danger to both military and civilian aircraft operating over the tiny nation of Israel…and increases the likelihood of war even further.

A major explosion at a Hamas training site in Gaza designed to teach terrorists how to use Kassam rockets against Israel last week revealed the contemptible and cowardly tactics these Jew-hating terrorists are employing. The news reports included this telling detail-three Palestinian women and five children were among those injured by shrapnel from the blast. Women and children were injured because Hamas purposely hides their weapons stockpiles and training facilities in civilian neighborhoods to deter the Israeli army from attacking them. My contacts tell me they believe there are less than 120 days left before Iran orders its terrorist proxies in Hamas and Hezbollah to attack Israel.

Huge Iranian flags and posters praising Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as the “protector of resistance” covered Lebanon”s border with Israel recently as the Iranian leader visited with his terrorist allies. Ahmadinejad said that “the Zionists will soon disappear.” In Bint Jibal, a large replica of the Al-Aksa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem was festooned with Iranian flags in a clear threat that war is coming soon.

Iran has been a major sponsor of the Hezbollah terrorist movement since the Reagan Administration, and Ahmadinejad”s visit highlights his strong connections to his terrorist proxies in Lebanon. The fear among observers is that Ahmadinejad is using these face-to-face meetings with top Hezbollah commanders to shape the final strategy for an attack on Israel. Iran has provided more than 40,000 rockets and missiles to Hezbollah and Hamas, and many expect them to launch military assaults before the end of the year in an effort to prevent Israel from taking effective military action to stop Iran”s nuclear program.

IT’S NEWS TO ME

The Israel Project reports
As Iran-backed Hamas and other terrorist groups fired more rockets and mortars at Israel from Gaza this week, Syria”s role in re-arming Hezbollah with increasingly sophisticated weaponry – in tandem with Iran – was exposed. Meanwhile, Iran”s defense minister announced that Iran”s aircraft-seeking Mersad missile system has an increased range. And in The Washington Post, Jackson Diehl examines the PA”s possible quest for the United Nations to declare a Palestinian state.

Vision to America reports
Someone had to say it — and German Chancellor Angela Merkel deserves credit for being the one with the courage to say it out loud: Multiculturalism has “utterly failed.” Multiculturalism is not just a recognition that different groups have different cultures. We all knew that, long before multiculturalism became a cult that has spawned mindless rhapsodies about “diversity.” In Germany, as in other countries in Europe, welcoming millions of foreign workers who insist on remaining foreign has created problems so obvious that only the intelligentsia could fail to see them.

Earl Cox reports
Iranian President

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad paid a very high-profile visit to Lebanon last week, and received a tumultuous welcome in Beirut from thousands of supporters of the Shi”ite terror militia Hizbullah. But not all Lebanese were so enthusiastic about his arrival, as many feared the move is part of Iran”s bid to seize control of the country in order to open a direct front against Israel. Ahmadinejad did little to alleviate those fears, as he praised Lebanon for being a “university for jihad” and a staunch ally against the “Zionist enemy.” A number of Lebanese leaders, however, condemned his efforts to drag their country into yet another war with Israel, as 250 prominent figures signed a published petition warning him not to meddle in Lebanon”s internal affairs. So just why did Ahmadinejad pay a special visit to Lebanon and its border with Israel? Is he planning a coup in Lebanon through Tehran”s proxy militia Hizbullah? And what are Israel and the West doing to counter such a possibility?
