20. Muslims to Mobilize against U.S.

This issue looks at Obama's latest plans to pressure Israel and divide Jerusalem, further evidence that Temple construction may begin soon,  Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's latest call for Muslims to destroy the U.S. and Israel, and a writing tip for using “less” and “fewer.”

One Jerusalem reports
Several sources have informed One Jerusalem that the Obama Administration is planning to significantly step up the pressure on Israel by announcing a comprehensive plan for Israel and the Palestinians at the opening of the United Nations General in September.
Picture this: The anti-Israel nations of the world surrounding President Obama as he demands that Israel give up sovereignty over Jerusalem, abandon settlements, and recognize a terrorist state on the West Bank.

The Jerusalem Prayer Team reports
The area in Jerusalem which has become the target for the debate between the Obama administration and Israel – the Shepherd Hotel compound in the Sheikh Jarrah-Mt. Scopus area – has long been a mixture of Arabs and Jews. Many observers incorrectly assume that Jerusalem is made up of two segregated sectors – Jews in the western sector and Arabs in the Eastern sector. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Jerusalem is a diverse city, a melting pot of people. Eastern Jerusalem alone holds integrated neighborhoods with some 200,000 Jews and 270,000 Arabs. It is neither completely Arab nor completely Jewish. An armistice line could not possibly separate the ethnic diversity that is Jerusalem. The Obama administration demands to divide East Jerusalem would create an untenable situation for all concerned. The

Temple update
David Brickner (Jews for Jesus) reports the following recent article from an Israeli newspaper:
“Children wanted for Future Temple service. Ultra-orthodox Jewish sect is searching for parents willing to hand over newborn sons to be raised in isolation and purity in preparation for the rebuilding of the biblical temple in Jerusalem. Only members of the Jewish priestly caste, the Kohanim need apply…”

Joel Rosenberg reports
Iran's Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on Muslims in neighboring countries this week to intensify preparations for the coming of the Islamic Messiah known as the Mahdi or the “Twelfth Imam.” He specifically urged Muslims to mobilize forces to defeat the United States and Israel.

“We have to train honest forces that can stop the obstacles that may hinder the coming of the Mahdi like the United States and Israel,” the Ayatollah said through a spokesman, in a story reported by al-Arabiya, the Arabic-language news channel based in the Gulf. “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's spokesman, Ali Saeedi, said countries like Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan and Afghanistan should gather together all their forces….”
A reminder
My ministry is to help educate and equip the Church regarding our obligations to Israel and to keep America from self-destructing. I do this primarily through my books and speaking engagements. If you have any contacts within a church that needs to hear what you read weekly in my newsletters and blogs, please direct them to my website. If you haven't read any of my books, check them out and consider giving one as a gift.

Less and Fewer
Use “less” when referring to unquantifiable amounts or concepts. Use “fewer” with items that can be counted.
Light beer is less filling and has fewer calories.
Less ambiguity in the instructions will result in fewer mistakes and less confusion.

A mother dog that gave birth to five puppies alongside the road was charged with littering.
