UN VOTES TO RECOGNIZE “STATE OF PALESTINE”
Joel Rosenberg reports: On Thursday, 138 nations voted in the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) to declare a “State of Palestine” and recognize it as a “non-member observer state” within the international community. Forty-one nations abstained from voting. Only nine nations voted against the resolution: the U.S., Israel, Canada, the Czech Republic, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau and Panama. Read more.

The United Nations Votes to Recognize Palestine
Jay Sekulow reports: They have decided to violate international law and numerous peace agreements. The terrorist-led Palestine now has “non-member observer state” status at the U.N. With this vote, the U.N. has endorsed a divided Jerusalem and an Israel with indefensible borders. Even more alarming, it opens the door for more false war crimes trials against Israeli citizens.

Vote “Does Not Establish that Palestine Is a State”
The Israel Project reports: Susan Rice’s speech [at the UN] emphasized that the resolution does not “create a state where none indeed exists or change the reality on the ground” and, more explicitly, “does not establish that Palestine is a state.” As a matter of law the UNGA vote is not binding, nor is the UNGA empowered to either create states or accept full UN members. The latter authority is reserved to the UN Security Council, which last year rejected a Palestinian application for admission as a full UN member, while establishing the former would require the Palestinians to meet requirements for institution building and sovereignty codified in the 1933 Montevideo Convention.

Residents in the Gaza Strip have posted large billboards highlighting close ties between Iran

Palestinian school girls pass a billboard covered by national and Iranian flags with Arabic reads “thanks and gratitude to Iran”, in Gaza City, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012.

and that territory’s ruling Hamas terror group. The billboards thank Tehran for assisting Palestinian terror groups in battling Israelis, and the posters’ “prominent location, at busy intersections and next to a destroyed Hamas security compound, as well as the fact that they were not removed, indicated that [Hamas and Islamic Jihad representatives] were involved in” posting them. Satellite images described publicly over the weekend showed that Iran is moving quickly to rearm its Palestinian proxy in the aftermath of Israel’s Operation Pillar of Defense, which degraded huge swaths of the terror group’s advanced assets as part of a campaign that foreign policy analysts are now describing as having “ended with material gains for Israel and material losses-men and arms-for its opponent.” Evidence of unbroken ties between Iran and Hamas – with Tehran supplying advanced weapons to the terror group before and after Operation Pillar of Defense – calls into question analysis used to promote engagement with Hamas on the premise of strained ties between it and Iran.

News is slowly leaking out of Iran regarding the brutal anti-Semitic murder and mutilation of a Jewish woman in the Iranian city of Isfhahan. The Times of Israel reports that 57 year old Tuba N. was murdered by Muslim neighbors who, as part of a multi-year campaign to harass her family and confiscate the family’s property for a mosque, broke into her home, tied up her two sisters, repeatedly stabbed her to death, butchered her body, and cut off her hands as members of her family watched. Allegations like those of Tuba N.’s religiously-driven murder and mutilation, which come alongside other descriptions of religiously-motivated persecution of Iranian minorities, have been difficult to reconcile with reports published by some journalists describing Iranian Jews as living in peace and security.

The Senate Is About To Vote On A United Nations Treaty That Will Eradicate Your Parental Rights, Mandate Worldwide Abortion, Sexualize Your Children And Institute Population-Control… Not In Some Far-Off Land, But Right Here At Home.
GrassTopsUSA reports: It’s no joke… no exaggeration and your sovereignty is in imminent jeopardy because this vote is days… or perhaps even hours… away. But to make matters worse, nine RINO Senators (Ayotte, Barrasso, Brown, Collins, Hatch, Lugar, McCain, Murkowski and Snowe) voted in lock-step with Barack Obama and Harry Reid, on Tuesday, to bring the deceptively titled United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Treaty to the floor of the Senate for consideration. And a vote on ratification can happen at any moment… and we must not allow this sovereignty-stealing treaty to be ratified. Click here to take action.
