Det Bowers

Special Edition for SC Residents Regarding the upcoming Race for US Senate
IT’S WORTH CONSIDERING
This special election edition is to help those undecided voters who will be voting in the upcoming Republican primary election next Tuesday. I am posting the following information on behalf of Det Bowers who is running in an attempt to unseat our current Senator Lindsey Graham. Here’s how they differ:

Lindsey Graham voted to move The Affordable Care Act out of committee for the full Senate to vote on the Bill. His vote for cloture helped create yet another unaffordable and unsustainable government program.

o    Det would never vote to help create another federal government program that infringes on individual liberty.
•    Lindsey Graham stated in regard to his vote in favor of Elena Kagan as an associate justice to the Supreme Court, “…the last election had consequences and this President chose someone who is qualified, who has the experience and knowledge to serve on this court. Who is in the mainstream of liberal philosophy and who understands the difference between being a liberal judge and a politician. At the end of the day, after the hearing, it was not a hard decision for me to make…I think President Obama chose wisely.”
o    Det would never vote to confirm any supreme court nominee that does not have strict constructionist view of the Constitution.
•    Lindsey Graham supports amnesty for illegal citizens.
o    Det does not. The rule of law must be upheld, and the law is clear.
•    Lindsey Graham supports the NSA spying on private American citizens without a search warrant.
o    The Fourth Amendment is clear. Citizens should not have to look over their shoulder because the federal government is invading their privacy.
Lindsey Graham voted in 2012 to give away US sovereignty to the UN in regard to the Law of the Seas Treaty.

o    US sovereignty should never be given up or any reason.
Lindsey Graham is in favor of giving foreign aid to governments that do not look out for America’s best interest.

o    We should have sunset legislation on every dollar of foreign aid we give out and should address that aid every year. America’s primary responsibility is to protect our republic rather than spending funds we do not have to attempt to create democratic republics in places where the people do not want democratic republics. We have very few friends in the international community, but those that always stand with us, like Israel, must be supported.
o    Lindsey Graham co-authored an editorial with Democrat John Kerry endorsing ‘cap and trade’ legislation. Graham wrote, “First, we agree that climate change is real and threatens our economy and national security. That is why we are advocating aggressive reductions in our emissions of the carbon gasses that cause climate change.”
    Actively supporting climate change theories is undeniably premature.
Lindsey Graham supported bailing out large corporations (TARP) while not bailing out businesses on ‘Main Street.’

o    The Federal Government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers. Every business should succeed or fail on its own merits. This produces a free and fair economic system.
