World events are heading towards a Climax. Do we really think nothing’s going to change?
IT’S WORTH CONSIDERING

Anti-Semitism is on the rise all over the globe and especially in Europe. A poll of 2,230 British Jewish people by the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism (CAA) found that 45 percent feared Jews have no future in Britain, and 58% were concerned they have no long-term future in Europe.

Holocaust pile of bodies“Never again” (after the Holocaust) has become “Here we go again.” The hatred has become so intense that recently Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu issued a worldwide invitation for Jews around the world to return to their Mother Country. On the surface, it seemed like a heart-felt generous call to come to Israel where they will be welcomed with open arms. But let’s stake a giant step back and try to see the bigger picture.

From a prophetic perspective, the call to make aliyah (literallyIslam and the Last days means “ascent”) to Israel is historic. With so many world events indicating that the last days of the Bible are upon us, the Prime Minister’s call is like placing an exclamation point at the end of everything we’ve seen so far. It appears that God is using this man to implement a part of His plans as things build to a climax. It’s sad to have to say that Israel is perhaps the only place on earth where Jews are free from persecution. Even in the United States, Jews are being threatened at an increasing rate on many of our college campuses.

You may think that Israel is the last place they would find safety and security. The nation is surrounded by enemies who are fixated on Israel’s annihilation. This is true, but there’s a major factor that cannot be ignored. God’s promises to the Jewish people are directly tied to the land, and the land belongs to God.

Please read Psalm 83 in light of today’s situation, and then pray itwatchman of the wall back to God. Do the same with Psalm 2. When God’s people pray, He responds! He is waiting to hear from us. Believers in Jesus Christ have been appointed as watchmen on the walls, looking out for Israel. It is our duty, now more than ever.

AS I SEE IT
ultra orthodoxOn the positive side, estimates place the number of Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) in Israel between 15,000 and 20,000 (about a third of one percent of all Israeli Jews). The number of Christians living in Israel is difficult to determine, but they’re there. The presence of believers, however, does not guarantee safety for the nation. Equally, just because God is watching over Israel doesn’t mean things aren’t going to get ugly. Most of Israel’s Jews are secular. God is of little concern to them…for now. The ultra orthodox are like modern day Pharisees. Many of the Rabbis in Israel’s synagogues are teaching their own version of the tenakh. God knows what it’s going to take to bring these Jews to faith in Yeshua (see Zech 12:10) and it’s not pretty.

Sharon and Ray Sanders, founders of Christian Friends of Israel, map Islam mid east Jerusalem, are bracing for a “difficult” 2015. All signs point to trouble on multiple fronts. ISIS is closing in. Hamas and Hezbollah have been preparing the “the big one” for years. The Palestinian leaders seem determined to declare statehood one way or another, regardless of the cost.

gitmoAdd to this the other world events that are paving the way for what’s coming. President Obama has released more terrorists from Gitmo and refuses to associate any of the recent terrorist attacks with Islam, even when the attackers are shouting “Allah Akbar.”  He refuses to do anything about the 22+ terrorist training camps in the U.S. Iran is getting closer and closer to nuclear weapons capability. Pope Francis is making overtures to the Muslim world, and ISIS is on the march. Anyone who is paying attention has to be sensing that something big is about to happen. The question is Are we ready? Are we in a position where God can use us when things start to fall apart? Will we be ready and prepared if all of history reaches its culmination in our lifetime? Will the parables about being ready have fallen on deaf ears?

Something Big is Coming

Of course I can’t say with certainty that 2015 is going to be the year in which everything falls apart. All I’m saying is that based on what it happening in the world today, something big is going to happen sometime soon, and we’re all going to be affected. We are told to understand the times and the signs. God has chosen us for this moment in time and He wants us to be vigilant so we can be part of the solution, not the problem. It’s an exciting time to be alive. Let’s face it with confidence and boldness. God has given us everything we need to accomplish His purpose for us, and He wants us to go through the coming days together and united. No more lone wolf Christianity. It’s time for unity among believers. It’s time for the Church’s finest hour.
