SETTING OUR MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE
Donald Trump’s victory has causes a lot of people to rethink a lot of their “foregone conclusions.” This has been true of Bible prognosticators who are now rethinking where they think we are on the eschatological timeline. Has God given us a reprieve from the judgment that seemed imminent, or is the trump victory not as it appears? Is it “Happy days are here again?” or are we just taking a different route to the same destination?
It appears that the globalists’ agenda has hit a serious snag and that the “One World Government” movement will have to be put on hold for a while. Time will tell if Donald Trump will be able 
to keep his campaign promises and if the Republicans will unify behind him. From what we’ve seen so far, it looks like the Democrats will stop at nothing to make life as difficult as possible for the party soon to be in complete control.
So, where does this leave us? I think it proves that none of us knows what’s really going on. The lens we see the world through is still rather foggy and our world view filter probably has become clogged with some erroneous assumptions. Every faulty assumption affects everything that follows. Consequently, every time we think we got our world figured out, we soon discover how wrong we were.
What we can expect (as Christians) is that all of God’s enemies will be stepping up their attacks to counter whatever gains are made through the political process in the near future. We can expect a lot of deception and dirty tricks and an all-out assault through whatever means are available. Now is not the time to become complacent. We must be vigilant as we go about our Master’s business. We must show Him that we will maximize the gift we have been given by being totally committed to conduct kingdom business wherever life takes us. To God be the glory!
