This issue looks at the naval buildup in the Middle East, the spillover effect of the conflict in Syria, another attack on Israel, Jordan’s nuclear program, good tourism numbers for Israel, Pastor Nadarkhani’s touching letter of gratitude, updates on the embassy attack in Libya, and the DHS’s Muslim sensitivity training on the eve of 9/11.

Naval Buildup in Middle East
The Jerusalem Prayer Team reports: In one of the largest naval exercises ever conducted, US and British warships have been joined by forces from more than 20 other nations to conduct a series of drills designed to respond to an Iranian attempt to close the Persian Gulf. Anchored by three US aircraft carriers, the operation is focused on training to clear mines and respond to air and sea attacks. It is no coincidence that all of this is happening right now. The enemy has been fixated on gaining control of Jerusalem. The Holy City plays a crucial role in God’s prophetic plan for the end times, and it is Satan’s primary target.

News from The Israel Project
Mortar shells from Syria’s ongoing civil war landed Tuesday in the Golan Heights, the first time that the 18-month conflict has spilled over into Israel. Nobody was injured in the attack, but Israel has filed a complaint with the United Nations forces operating in the area.

Embattled Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had been conspiring to deliver chemical weapons to Hezbollah, the terrorist group also backed by Iran, to use against the Syrian people as a ‘last resort.’ Hezbollah is a constant concern for Israelis because it frequently threatens attacks against them.

Terrorists, including one wearing a suicide vest, attacked Israeli soldiers building a security fence along the Egyptian border today (Sept. 21) and tried to enter Israel, but the Israeli army blocked them and killed the three attackers. One soldier was killed and another suffered severe injuries.

Israel’s nuclear chief says his country doesn’t object to Jordan’s nuclear program, which the kingdom says is intended for generating electricity and desalinating water. Get the full story in The Times of Israel.

Tourism Numbers Good News for Israel
David Zauber reports: Numbers were released this week by the Ministry of Tourism showing that for the Hebrew calendar year of 5772, which ended last week on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, a little over 3.5 million tourists visited the Jewish State, a new all-time record. Tourism played a large part in the impressive economic health Israel has enjoyed in recent years, even amidst a global economic recession, with tourists injecting an estimated NIS 18 billion (about $4.6 billion) into the local economy. The Tourism Ministry has responded to the influx by approving grants to build, expand and renovate 18 hotels around the country, half of which are in Jerusalem.

Obama Said What?
David Horowitz reports: In the wake of the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Benghazi attacks against American citizens, Barack Obama stood in front of the U.N. and representatives of Iran and other despotisms yesterday and said: “The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam.” This was a coded apology for the cartoonish video that this administration continues to believe, in the face of all evidence to the contrary, was the cause of attacks against U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya and Egypt. The administration’s delusion that impoliteness about the Prophet, and not planned Islamic terrorism, is the actual cause of the jihad against us.

Homeland Security Agents Forced to do Muslim Sensitivity Training on Eve of 9/11
Debbie Schlussel reports: While Muslims around the world were planning coordinated attacks on our U.S. Embassies around the world on the 11th anniversary of 9/11, Homeland Security’s top New England official, Bruce Foucart, was busy forcing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to attend Muslim sensitivity training. ICE agents were outraged that Foucart, Boston’s ICE Special Agent in Charge, was forcing them not to remember 3,000 Americans targeted for death by Muslims, but instead, to honor the religion that inspired the massacre. Body of Lies from Benghazi to Barack
Canada Free Press reports: By now, it is well known that something is very wrong with the official narrative pertaining to the controversial video known to everyone as Innocence of Muslims. The official government script we are asked to believe is that this video supposedly caused the September 11, 2012 attack on the consulate in Libya and ignited the ensuing violence and death across the Muslim world that continues without abatement today. Officially, the video was cited as the primary motive in the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. There are more than a few problems with this narrative. First, aside from the trailer, the video does not exist anywhere in any public forum. Not now, not ever.
