This issue looks at how everything that happens is is part of a greater web of interconnectivity
IT’S WORTH CONSIDERING
My logo contains the phrase “It’s all connected.” My point is that while everything going on in our world seems like random stuff, it’s far from random. Everything is interconnected. Since it all affects our lives in some way, we would do well to understand how this web of connections operates.
Consider the prophecy that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2). It took a political assassination (of Julius Caesar) to bring to power an emperor with a serious god complex (Caesar Augustus) who would call for an empire-wide census to raise money to finance his ambitions. Consequently, an obscure young man named Joseph had to travel 70 miles to Bethlehem to register for that census with his virgin bride-to-be who was about to give birth to the Savior of the world. This is just the tail end of the chain.
Consider everything that had to happen to bring Julius Caesar to power. Every preceding leader had to live and rule in such a way that Julius Caesar would come to power at just the right time. The timing had to be just right since Daniel the prophet predicted the exact day when Jesus would present Himself to the people of Israel as their long-awaited Messiah (Dan. 9:24-26). Therefore, Jesus had to be born at exactly the right time. How can this happen if mankind has been given freewill?
The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
While the Lord is directing our steps, a heavenly battle has been raging between Jesus and Satan for supremacy over the universe. We know who wins, but Satan is still wreaking havoc wherever and whenever he can, trying to take as many people as possible to their doom along with him. What we see playing out on the world stage is a result of heavenly warfare in the unseen world. Supremely ruling over all this warfare is Jehovah (God) (Psalm 103:19). Nothing happens without His permission.
The Source of Good and Evil
Because of all this, everything good in the world can be traced back to God, while everything evil can be traced to Satan. Everything going on in our world is the result of other forces at work, some visible, and some in the unseen realm. It’s all connected. Our interconnectedness is seen in the six degrees of separation. This principle shows how everyone is approximately six steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person on earth.
AS I SEE IT
Bringing things back down to earth, every current event has been preceded by a complex series of events that led up to what we are now experiencing. It’s all being orchestrated by God to bring about what has been prophesied with all the “players” at the right place at the right time. he right time. Many things had to happen to make the massive and life-altering changes of 2020 and 2021 possible. The players in the World Economic Forum have been preparing for this and the coming “Great Reset” for years. As frightening as their globalist plans are, we can take comfort in knowing that God is using everything they are doing (and planning to do) to fulfill biblical prophecy. Earth’s megalomaniacs have not idea that they aren’t really running the show.
Cause and Effect
Another way things are connected reflects the law of cause and effect. God’s Word tells us that if we do “this,” He will do “that.” I show how many of our nation’s “natural” disasters may well be the result of our blatant disobedience in my book The Israeli Connection.
On the whole, America just doesn’t get it. Until we, as a nation, start connecting the dots, we can expect things to get progressively worse. We’ve got to understand that ideas have consequences, and the consequences of ideas that deny truth can be deadly. This happens to be the basis of my novel, Dragon Slayers.
We Must be Connected
Just as the evil throughout the world is all connected, and the good is likewise connected, so must be the people of God. The Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, can be the mightiest force on the planet, but only if all the parts are connected. We need to start thinking globally on a spiritual level. We must be praying for our brothers and sisters around the world who are imprisoned and/or undergoing daily torture or abuse. We need to care about what God is doing in China, North Korea, and elsewhere. Most important of all, we need to care about Jewish believers, especially those in Israel who are persecuted daily. It’s time to spiritually get connected, to pursue unity by placing the needs of others above our own.

To be politically correct:
Cafeteria food isn’t awful.
It’s “digestively challenged.”
