Israel in Mourning

CFI-IND reports: The sad news was released today, June 30, that the bodies of the three Israeli kidnapped teenagers (Eyal Yifrach, Gilad Shaer, and Naftali Frankel) were found in a field near the Palestinian town of Halhul north of Hebron. They appeared to have been thrown into a field by their abductors after a hasty effort to conceal them. As of this writing, the whole nation of Israel has gone into mourning. These were not just three boys from three families-these boys belonged to every family in Israel, and their death is everyone’s loss. The bell tolls for the whole country. The Israeli cabinet is in emergency session as I write, and my guess is that someone on the Palestinian side will pay dearly for this deed. The suspected abductors are two Hamas activists, who went missing from their homes about the same time the boys disappeared. The Shin Bet security service has named them as Marwan Qwasmeh and Amar Abu Aisha, from Hebron. Both of them have done time in Israeli and Palestinian jails for terrorist activities. Kidnap Mastermind in Turkey
The Israel Project reports: The Daily Beast on Tuesday conveyed assessments from a range of Israeli officials and U.S.-based experts linking the recent kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers to a top Hamas official who has reportedly been allowed to operate freely in Turkey, a dynamic that the outlet noted risked undermining efforts to bridge diplomatic gaps between Jerusalem and Ankara.

Conservativebyte.com reports: Obama likes it when terrorists do well. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, is targeting Iraq’s oil fields as part of its plan to raise revenue and build its caliphate infrastructure. The move makes it unlikely the ISIS would destroy the fields, unless the Iraqi military regroups and attempts to recapture them. Read more.

ISIS Has Declared an Islamist Caliphate
Freedomoutpost.com reports: The Sunni Islamist militant group whose three-week blitz through northern Iraq has nearly upended the country’s fragile unity announced itself as a new Islamist “caliphate” on Sunday, unilaterally declaring statehood and demanding allegiance from other Islamist groups. The announcement, recited in Arabic on the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan by spokesman Abu Mohammed Al Adnani into an audio file, effectively renames the group the Islamic State, canceling its previous title of the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, or ISIS. Woman Savagely Beaten By Muslim As Bystanders Do Nothing
Eaglerising.com reports: A woman in New Jersey was savagely beaten by another woman because she thought she’d spread rumors about her. The attacker, Latia Harris, believed that her victim, Catherine Ferreira, had been spreading rumors about her and her manager at McDonalds. So she followed her out of the McDonald’s and down a walking path, berating her victim before attacking her. And the attack was vicious. Read more.
