This edition examines the worldwide efforts to force a Palestinian nation upon Israel and the latest news from Egypt.

OUR ISRAELI CONNECTION

Palestinian State Decreed

The Jerusalem Prayer Team reports- In secret meetings in back rooms in capital cities around the world, a sinister plan against Israel is taking shape. Just as foretold in Psalm 2, the kings of the earth are taking counsel together against the plans and purposes of God to launch an attack against His Chosen People.

This evil plan is already in place. The pieces have been put in motion. The wheels are already turning. Every day more nations are signing on. And make no mistake-if nothing happens, this plan to divide Jerusalem and to curse Israel will succeed. When I was in Israel a few weeks ago, I was briefed by top leaders on the plan for Palestinian statehood. Leaders from nations around the world have determined to unilaterally have the United Nations declare a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. They are planning to present Israel with a fait accompli without any input from the Jewish people on their fate and with no say over their own borders or security. No other nation on earth would be treated this way.

IT’S NEWS TO ME

Mubarak Out of Office, US Intel Out of Touch
Giving in to the demands of the demonstrators, Egypt”s President Mubarak resigned, turning control over to the military. Most U.S. reporters and news anchors are praising the courage and success of the people of Egypt in their noble quest for democracy. Meanwhile, our National Intelligence Director, James Clapper made our entire government look foolish and inept with his claims that the Muslim Brotherhood is a heterogeneous and secular non-political organization eschewing violence in its quest for social reform. He also “explained” that it has no international violent agenda and that it condemns al Qaeda for highjacking its peaceful goals.

Just a few days ago, Secretary of State Clinton assured America and the world that the Mubarak regime was stable and secure. As events unfolded, our President and Vice President explained them by telling us that they were pivotal and historic. No kidding? Our President has assured us that the Muslim Brotherhood in Eqypt repersents no serious threat since they comprise less

than 20% of the population. Fact- Every nation in which a radical Islamist faction has comprised 20% of the population became completely dominated by that faction within five years.

The “intelligence” coming to us via television says that what we”re seeing in Egypt is a good thing, but we need to watch it closely. We are told that the populace uprising bears should not be compared to the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Oh really? In case you have forgotten, that uprising was originally seen by the West as an expression of democracy and freedom-seeking young people. Sound familiar? History has shown us that “democracy” is used in the Muslim world as a means to topple secular regimes and install an Islamic government, using whatever means are necessary. Look at what has happened in Iran and Lebanon.

Radical groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, which excel at organizing and motivating, have developed a strategy for accomplishing their goal- a world dominated by Islam and ruled by Sharia law. Remember also that according to recent Pew Research polls, a majority in Egypt favors Sharia law, not democracy as we know it. The danger in bringing democracy to this region of the world is that it gives a voice to young, impressionable minds that have been brainwashed to see the West as their enemy.

So what can we expect? Look for some interesting joint efforts by socialist, communist, and Islamic organization. This phenomenon has caught the West off guard and is happening all over the Middle-East. For the moment, their common goals outweigh their ideological differences. Muslim leaders have learned that the “community organizing” skills of socialist, leftist organizations serve their purposes very well. They will work together to topple governments, weaken economies, intimidate the weak, and take advantages of the naïve in their quest for power.

To keep things in perspective, consider the words of John Adams-
There is no government armed with power which is capable of continuing with human passion if those passions aren”t bridled by morality and religion….Our constitution was made only for a moral and a religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.

We in America are having enough trouble living by our own Constitution. It worked fine when we were a God-fearing and God-honoring nation. As we are losing our moral bearings, the wheels are about to fall off. It is a waste of time to export our system of government to societies that are even farther removed from the God of Israel than we are. Finally, we must remember that not one of the recent events in the Middle-East has taken God by surprise. It is all playing out according to his schedule. While we cannot know what will happen next, we can be secure in the one who has promised His children that nothing can separate us from His love for us.
